The client complained about a rattling sound under their gazebo. The previous month she found a juvenile in the plant bed next to the gazebo. There was clearly a problem.

After we removed the flooring of the gazebo we found this 4 footer!

We ended up finding and pulling multiple rattlesnakes out and around the gazebo!
Auburn, CA Clients Snake Problems!

This one was in the flower garden! Notice the distinct triangle shaped head.

It was a wiggly one!!!

They feel comfortable in any tight space.
Rattlesnake Impostors
1.
Gopher snakes have similar coloring but there are distinctly different. Notice the smooth scales and the oval or narrow shape of the head.

All snakes can be aggressive thats why it's important to be able to identify the venomous ones.

Even though gopher snakes can get long they don't get that fat like rattlers.
Handling venomous snakes requires on going training.

The Puff Adder from East Africa is a pit viper like its cousin the Rattlesnake. This snake is responsible for more deaths in Africa than any other snake and has the fastest strike of all snakes.

This is a Timber rattlesnake or some times called in the south, a Canebrake rattler. If you look closely you can tell it has a belly full of mice because of the distinct separation of the individual scales on its body.

The infamous Gaboon Viper has the largest fangs of any snake, up to 3 inches. Imagine trying to find this guy in the dry leaf litter of a jungle floor.
